For many years, while completing business school and working across Asia — Nate loved experiencing the unique and exciting cuisine full of flavor and spice. He would often recreate the dishes for friends and family back in America.
QUEST FOR CHILI CRISP
Nate and Ashan love using unique ingredients found throughout Asia - particularly those found in chili crisp. But the chili crisps that can be found in America are full of sugar, sodium/salt, and MSG. They were also very expensive. Disappointed by the options, Nate and Ashan set out to create a healthier, tastier and less-expensive alternative.
COLLABORATION
Collaboration was key. Nate and Ashan embarked on a journey of creation. They turned their kitchen into a flavor laboratory. They worked with food scientists and culinary experts - as well as friends and family - to create the perfect chili crisp recipe that balanced heat, crunch, and umami — using only natural, whole ingredients.
OUR COMMITMENT
After a year, and dozens of recipes later, we are ready to launch. Today we’re just getting started and can only ship within Utah. Our goal is to develop more flavors in a commercial kitchen and start shipping across America. But even as we grow, our commitment will always be to using natural ingredients, sustainable products, and keep our product free from added sugars, salt and preservatives.
